Planning process and next steps
The NSW and Commonwealth planning approval decisions are expected in mid-2020. Once the project is approved, a contract will be awarded to build Sydney Gateway.
Once the contractor is appointed it will develop detailed management plans to minimise construction impacts to local businesses and the community. This will include plans to effectively manage noise and vibration, air quality, traffic and access. We will work with our contractor to provide regular updates to businesses and the community about planned activities.
At this stage we will also be able to provide more information on how construction will be staged, timings of key activities, details of traffic changes and how impacts will be managed.
