Located within the North West Growth Area, planning for the Schofields Town Centre offers the opportunity to provide more new homes and businesses close to public transport.
Schofields Town Centre is on the North Shore, Northern, Western and Cumberland train lines. It also has access to frequent bus services to nearby Blacktown and Rouse Hill. It takes around 25 minutes to reach the Parramatta CBD by train from Schofields, making it highly suitable for the location of new homes and services.
The new community at Marsden Park will benefit from up to 10,300 new homes and the delivery of local amenities close to transport options, including:
The new neighbourhood will also help create jobs for local people. It is anticipated that Marsden Park will provide up to 3,000 new jobs, including 1,300 in the new town centre.

The proposed link road would provide a key connection between Appin Road and Menangle Road. The east-west link road would support future housing growth as part of the NSW Government's Greater Macarthur Growth Area.
Following feedback from the community and other stakeholders, the study area has been extended west following Menangle Road just over the Hume Motorway, and further south along the Hume Motorway.
Transport for NSW is currently carrying out desktop studies and site investigations to develop a number of possible route options within this area and identify a recommended route option. Transport for NSW will consult with the community and provide an opportunity for feedback.
